From Private Company to Public-Listed

Funded and Guided End to End

GCFO.my makes your business investment-ready. Aureus Strategies PE provides the growth capital and takes you onto Bursa Malaysia’s LEAP Market. One partnership. One pathway. Private funding to public listing.

THE PROBLEM

Most Malaysian SMEs are profitable but "un-fundable" - and they don't know why.

You’ve built real revenue. But when you approach investors or think about listing, you hit the same wall:

01

Financials that tell your story to you, but not to an investment committee.

02

No clear equity structure, cap table, or governance an investor can underwrite.

03

No CFO-level narrative connecting your numbers to a growth thesis.

04

No credible pathway from “raising capital” to “getting listed”.

The capital exists. The listing route exists. What’s missing is the bridge – someone to get you ready, fund you, and walk you onto the exchange.

That’s what this partnership was built to do.

THE BRIDGE

Two capabilities. One outcome.

01 — READINESS

GCFO.my

We install the financial leadership a listing-track company needs – without the full-time cost. Financial modelling, governance, investor-grade reporting, and the capital narrative that makes your business defensible in front of a PE committee and Bursa.

02 — CAPITAL & ACCESS

Aureus Strategies PE

Growth Capital & Listing Sponsor

Aureus provides the private equity injection that fuels your next growth phase — and, under Malaysia’s proposed LEAP Market 2.0 framework, positions itself to act as your listing agent onto Bursa’s LEAP Market. Capital and access, from the same partner.

TOGETHER – A single, accountable pathway that takes you from

Investment-ready  >  Funded  > LEAP-Listed  > ACE Market-Eligible.

WHY LEAP - AND WHY NOW

LEAP Market 2.0 is opening a door most SMEs will miss.

Bursa Malaysia’s LEAP Market is the official entry point to the public market for micro, small and mid-tier companies — a feeder market to the ACE and Main Markets.

In March 2026, the government announced LEAP Market 2.0, a reform designed to make fundraising far more accessible for SMEs. The proposed enhancements introduce a landmark change:

01

VC/PE and ECF-backed companies would gain an alternative listing route — where a private equity firm can act as your listing agent to liaise directly with Bursa Malaysia.

02

A simplified disclosure pathway for eligible issuers.

03

A cleaner transfer to the ACE Market after a minimum of two years on LEAP — without the old exit-offer friction.

WHO THIS IS FOR

This is built for founders who are ready to scale beyond private capital.

You’re a fit if you are:

A Malaysian SME or mid-tier company with [RM X]+ in annual revenue and a real growth story

Profitable or on a clear path to profitability

Considering raising growth capital, an equity partner, or an eventual listing

Willing to adopt the governance and reporting standards a public company requires

You’re not a fit if you’re seeking a short-term loan or debt financing — this is an equity and listing pathway.

FAQ

Questions founders ask first.

Is my company big enough for LEAP?

The LEAP Market is specifically designed for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and high-growth startups. Unlike the ACE or Main Market, there are no minimum quantitative requirements for historical profitability or operating track records. If your company has a solid business model, clear growth potential, and transparent financials, you are exactly the type of company LEAP was built for.

While Private Equity (PE) firms provide capital, they often demand significant board influence, specific operational changes, and a rigid exit timeline (usually 3 to 5 years). Listing on the LEAP Market, however, allows you to raise capital from a broader pool of sophisticated investors while maintaining your operational independence. It also provides your company with a transparent market valuation, enhances your corporate profile, and serves as a strategic stepping stone to the ACE Market—all while keeping you in the driver’s seat.

The LEAP Market features a highly streamlined regulatory framework compared to other boards. Assuming your financial audits and corporate governance structures are in good order, the entire journey—from appointing an Approved Adviser to the ringing of the bell—typically takes between 6 to 9 months.

Because the regulatory and compliance requirements are intentionally kept lighter, the cost of listing on LEAP is significantly lower than on the ACE or Main Market. The primary expenses involve professional fees (for your Approved Adviser, legal counsel, and auditors) and regulatory fees. It is designed to be a highly cost-effective entry point into the capital markets for growing businesses.

Absolutely not. The LEAP Market requires a minimum public spread of only 10% of your company’s ordinary shares (offered exclusively to sophisticated investors). This means you and your co-founders can retain up to 90% of the equity. You maintain absolute voting control, strategic direction, and leadership over the business you built.
